Diamond's mass storage accessory products are designed to work with our line of small form factor single board comptuers. Available mass storage products include SATA disk-on-modules, mSATA flashdisks, USB flashdisks, and IDE flashdisks.

Solid State SATA DOM Flashdisks

Install an MLC or SLC mSATA flashdisk module onto any of our Aries or Helixsingle board computers for rugged, lightweight, solid-state mass storage. The flashdisk module works just like a SATA disk drive and requires no drivers. It provides high-speed nonvolatile mass storage in capacities of 32GB to 64GB. The flashdisk mounts on a SATA disk-on-module connector and is held in place with two spacers and screws (included). It operates over -40ºC to +85ºC.

SATADOM flashdisk features:

  • Single-level cell (SLC) flash modules for faster transfer speeds, lower power consumption, and higher cell endurance
  • Multi-level cell (MLC) flash modules for lower cost and higher storage density
  • Burst read/write of 300MB/s

Install a MLC or SLC mSATA flashdisk module onto any of our Atlas or Hercules III single board computers for rugged, lightweight, solid-state mass storage. The flashdisk module works just like a SATA disk drive and requires no drivers. It provides high-speed nonvolatile mass storage in capacities of 8GB to 64GB. The flashdisk mounts on a mSATA connector and is held in place with two spacers and screws (included). It operates over -40ºC to +85ºC.

Solid State USB Flashdisks

Install a USB flashdisk module onto any of our Magellan or Aurora single board computers for rugged, lightweight, solid-state mass storage. The flashdisk module works just like a USB disk drive and requires no drivers. It provides high-speed nonvolatile mass storage in capacities of 1GB to 8GB. The flashdisk mounts on a USB connector and is held in place with a spacer and screw (included). It operates over -40ºC to +85ºC.

USB flashdisk features:

  • USB 2.0 compatible interface
  • Single-level cell (SLC) flash for faster transfer speeds, lower power consumption, and higher cell endurance
  • Sustained read performance of 30MB/s
  • Sustained write performance of 20MB/s
  • Implements dynamic wear-leveling algorithms to substantially increase longevity

An accessory cable, C-FDU-01, is available that connects the USB flashdisk to any USB port. This simplifies programming the flashdisk, or downloading data from it, by providing a direct connection between the flashdisk and a host PC.

   

Solid State IDE Flashdisks

Install an IDE flashdisk module onto many of our single board computers for rugged, lightweight, solid-state mass storage. The flashdisk module works just like an IDE drive and requires no drivers. It provides high-speed nonvolatile mass storage in capacities of 128MB to 4GB. The flashdisk mounts on the IDE connector and is held in place with a spacer and screws (included). It includes a master/slave jumper and operates over -40ºC to +85ºC.

Diamond's IDE flashdisks are single-level cell (SLC) technology for faster transfer speeds, lower power consumption, and higher cell endurance.
